1. (a) To participate and enter a cause you believe in that betters the lives of Canadian children complete and submit the Nomination Form available online at www.TodaysParent.com/forkidssake
(b) Twelve (12) Nominees will be selected by the editors of magazine on the basis of emotional impact of the nominee’s story, plus innovation and positive effect on Canadian children in the work of the registered charity selected, from the period of January 2009 to December 2009, one (1) Nominee will be selected each month. The decision will be made for each month as below:

Selected Nominees will be announced, and their cause and photo published in each monthly issue of Today's Parent magazine, as indicated above, and each will receive a $2,000 donation to the registered children’s charity specified by the Nominee. Non-selected Nominees will be carried forward to the following month.
2. The Nominees selected from January 2009 to December 2009, will be eligible to win one (1) of three (3) Grand Prizes, each consisting of a donation of $8,000 to be given to a charity of their choosing. These winners will be selected by a panel of Judges from Today’s Parent magazine and renowned people in the area of children’s wellbeing based upon the emotional impact of the nominee’s story, plus innovation and positive effect on Canadian children in the work of the registered charity selected.
3. By participating in this Program, each Nominee consents to the use of his/her entry, name, address and/or photograph in any publicity carried out by Rogers Publishing Limited, Today's Parent magazine (collectively “Rogers”) and its advertising agencies or related companies, without further notice or compensation. Selected Nominees, by participating in this Program, are deemed to have given consent to their photograph being taken by Rogers for such use, without notice or compensation. All nominations become the property of Rogers.
4. (i) Nominees must be Canadian residents and/or landed immigrants (as defined by Revenue Canada). No communications will be entered into except with the selected Nominees. (ii) Employees of Rogers or its parent or affiliated companies or dealers, their representatives and/or agents, or anyone who resides with any of them may not accept nomination themselves. (iii) In the event that either a Nominee is a minor, that person's parent or legal guardian must be prepared to verify permission for such person to participate and consent to use of the minor's name, city of residence, voice, statements and photographs or other likenesses for publicity, advertising or informational purposes in any medium or format.
5. Nominations that are incomplete, illegible, damaged, irregular, have been submitted through illicit means, or do not conform to or satisfy any condition of these rules may be disqualified by Rogers. Rogers takes no responsibility for lost, misdirected, late or destroyed nominations, or for typographical or other production errors.
6. All nominations become the property of Rogers, which assumes no responsibility for stolen, delayed or damaged entries or for failure of the website during the entry period, for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer online systems, servers, access providers, computer equipment, software, failure of any email or traffic congestion on the internet or at any website, or any combination thereof including any injury or damage to any person's computer related to or resulting from playing or downloading any material in the program. Rogers reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel or suspend the online portion of this program should a virus, bug or other cause beyond the reasonable control of Rogers corrupt the security or proper administration of the award program. Any attempt to deliberately damage any website or to undermine the legitimate operation of this program is a violation of criminal and civil laws and, should such an attempt be made, Rogers reserves the right to seek remedies and damages to the fullest extent permitted by law, including criminal prosecution. Rogers is not responsible for any errors or omissions in printing or advertising this awards program.
7. Rogers is collecting personal data about Nominees for the sole purpose of administering this Program. No further informational or marketing communications will be received by nominees from any third parties. Please see our Privacy Policy at www.rogers.com for information on the company's policy towards maintaining the privacy and security of user information.
8. This Program will be run in accordance with these rules, subject to amendment by Rogers. Nominees must comply with these rules, and will be deemed to have received and understood the rules if they participate. The individual assigned to the e-mail address for the domain associated with the submitted e-mail address is considered the authorized account holder and nominator. A Nominator may be required to provide proof that he/she is the authorized account holder of the e-mail address associated with the selected nomination. All online nominations must be submitted from a valid e-mail account that may be identified by reverse domain name search. The sole determinant of time for the purposes of receipt of a valid entry will be the computerized server machine(s).
9. The terms of this Program, as set out in these rules, are not subject to amendment or counter-offer, except as set out herein.
